a little about me

I have always been a nature girl with a love for flowers and design. I come from a long line of gardeners. My father is a biologist and also a gardener. My grandfather was an accountant and a gardener.

I started helping my dad in his garden at a young age. He even tried his hand at a landscaping business in the 80s. He called it Killam and Daughters. My sister and I would go out with him on weekends. We camped and spent a lot of time in the great outdoors.  You might say it’s in my DNA.

I am a graphic designer by trade but I am a lifelong gardener and longtime Dallasite, who loves the North Texas climate for the almost year-round opportunities it offers for gardening.

I am known as an impassioned and successful gardener, and I began by helping friends design and implement their landscapes. So I realized my dream and destiny was to start a landscaping business and Moss + Lichen Landscape Design was “officially” born in 2016.
